Wally Smith is Portfolio Director for Northwestern Mutual’s Western US Mortgage Loan and Equity Portfolio. He has been with Northwestern for 19 years, and has 25+ years’ experience in real estate capital markets including positions with Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal. Wally is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and coordinates Northwestern’s debt and equity investment originations in the Western regional offices of Newport Beach, San Francisco, and Dallas.

Wally is originally from Seattle, and received a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Washington and an M.B.A. in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Michigan. He is a non-practicing CPA.
