Thomas Kochak is a Vice President of Development at One Real Estate Investment, responsible for the sourcing, financing, development, and construction oversight of new residential projects. He has 9 years of multifamily real estate investment experience across various roles in acquisitions, asset management, portfolio management, and debt originations. Throughout his career, Thomas has been involved with the acquisition and recapitalization of over $3 billion in multifamily transactions and nearly $1 billion in debt placement.

Prior to joining One Real Estate Investment, Thomas was a member of the transactions team at New York Life Real Estate Investors where he was responsible for underwriting, negotiating, and closing new investment opportunities and joint ventures including core, value-add, and development opportunities across multiple funds. While at New York Life Real Estate Investors, he also managed and oversaw a $1.3 billion portfolio that consisted of assets throughout the West Coast. Prior to joining New York Life Real Estate Investors, he worked at PGIM Real Estate, where held roles in acquisitions and asset management for their Core-Plus fund.

Thomas has a Bachelor of Science, with a concentration in Finance, from the University of Miami. He is also a veteran of the United States Navy.
