Thomas Keady serves as Chairman and CEO of Aventon where he is responsible for companywide development, design, marketing, product strategy, new business, expansion, talent acquisition, and overall project execution. Prior to forming Aventon as one of three founding members in 2018, Keady served for almost 20 years as a senior executive with the Bainbridge Companies, a national vertically integrated, institutional multifamily operation. He rose to President and COO during his tenure with Bainbridge, which started with 4 team members and 2 projects in South Florida. He led the company’s development program to a 1-billion-dollar ongoing development pipeline spanning 7 states and multiple product types including high-rise, podium, wrap, garden, mixed-use, and student housing. Keady managed a team that ultimately completed over $2 billion in development capitalization and $3.3 billion in value-add acquisitions. At the time of his departure from Bainbridge, the company had completed or started development of over 12,000 units, had grown to over 600 employees, included 6 regional offices, and was named the 16th largest multifamily developer nationwide. Prior to joining Bainbridge, Keady worked as a development manager for the IDI Group Companies, and as a general contractor with Gilbane, both in the Washington DC metro area. He holds a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree from the Pennsylvania State University and maintains licenses as a Professional Engineer and Certified General Contractor.
