Stephen J. Meringoff is a managing partner of Himmel + Meringoff Properties, Inc., which he founded in 1985 with partner Leslie Himmel. As of early 2015 he owned and operated a commercial property portfolio valued at more than $1 billion; in its history, the company has acquired, redeveloped and repositioned more than 50 office and retail properties, with a total of more than 5 million square feet. Meringoff also serves as chairman of the firms affiliated property management company, Meringoff Properties, Inc.

Meringoff is a former chairman of the Midtown South Preservation and Development Committee and the Park Avenue South Association. Meringoff holds a BS in electrical engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard.
