Stanford Jones joined Marcus & Millichap in 1980 and has become one of the top brokers in the western United States specializing in the multifamily market. He was promoted to Vice President Investments in 1988 and Executive Vice President Investments in 2008, a distinction held by only eight of 1,500 agents in the firm. He also serves as a Senior Director of Marcus & Millichap’s National Multi Housing Group.

During the course of his 39-year career, Mr. Jones has closed more than $37 billion in commercial real estate investments and has been acknowledged almost every year as one of the company’s top agents. Along with his partners, Philip Saglimbeni and Salvatore Saglimbeni, Mr. Jones has been recognized as the market leader in northern California multifamily transactions. He consistently interfaces with the most active institutional and private owners, facilitates unsurpassed insight into current market conditions and demonstrates a strong ability to forecast trends.

Mr. Jones is recognized by institutional investors for his extensive, exclusive and successful representation of sellers. He exclusively represents many of California’s largest private and institutional property owners including Avalon Bay Communities, Equity Residential, Essex Property Trust, GE Capital, Prometheus Real Estate Group, Sequoia Equities Cigna and Prudential, to name a few.

Mr. Jones graduated Cum Laude from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and an emphasis in Real Estate.

Mr. Jones is currently involved in the ownership of over 2,000 apartment units in California, which has enabled him to view the financial operation of apartments from an owner’s perspective, including a realistic view of operations, financing, physical conditions, etc.

Mr. Jones has been recognized by the media as an expert on the northern California apartment market. He was recognized as a top Dealmaker in 2009 by the California Real Estate Journal. He has been quoted in such publications as Real Estate Southern California, California Real Estate Journal, San Jose/Silicon Valley Business Journal, San Francisco Business Times, among others. He has also served as a panelist at numerous real estate conferences.
