Shelley Watson is an accomplished professional in the real estate industry, currently serving as the Executive Vice President of Operations at Morgan Group. With a rich background spanning over 25 years in multi-family housing, Shelley has demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in various aspects of property management.

In January 2014, Shelley joined Morgan Group as the Senior Vice President of National Property Management, where she quickly made a significant impact. Over the years, she has taken on increasing responsibilities and now oversees the Property Management Group and Human Resources Team.

Shelley is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace. As the Chair of Morgan’s Leadership Committee and Co-Chair of Morgan’s Diversity and Inclusion Council, she plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s values and culture. Additionally, her involvement as Secretary/Treasurer for the Houston Apartment Association showcases her dedication to the industry at a regional level.

With a proven track record in various real estate sectors, including conventional housing, PFC Texas, value-add renovations, senior housing, repositions, and new construction lease ups, Shelley possesses a wealth of knowledge. She has directly supervised the successful completion of over 50 lease ups in Texas, highlighting her hands-on expertise.

Before joining Morgan, Shelley held the position of Managing Director with Greystar in Austin, Texas, where she managed an impressive portfolio of 12,000 units. Her tenure at Greystar honed her skills and prepared her for the leadership role she currently holds.

Shelley’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Louisiana – Monroe.

In recognition of her outstanding contributions, Shelley received the prestigious Bill Morgan Award in 2017, a testament to her dedication and impact in the company. Beyond her corporate responsibilities, she actively participates in industry organizations such as the Houston Apartment Association, where she serves as Secretary/Treasurer and the Texas Apartment Association, where she serves as a Delegate. Additionally, she is a member of CREW Houston.
