The Co-Founder of Waterford Property Company, Sean Rawson, is a leader in the multifamily residential industry. Over the course of his career, Mr. Rawson has sourced, entitled and developed nearly $2 billion in real estate transactions. Since forming Waterford in 2013, Mr. Rawson has acquired and developed nearly 5,000 residential units in California. Mr. Rawson is also an expert in the development and financing of affordable housing. Since starting Waterford, the company has developed over $200 million dollars of affordable housing projects. Prior to forming Waterford Property Company and its predecessor companies, Mr. Rawson was the Southern California President for St. Anton Partners, a leading privately-owned multifamily development company where he led the firm’s expansion into Southern California. Prior to his time working in the multifamily development industry, Mr. Rawson began his career with The Concord Group, a national economic market advisory firm, where he conducted market and financial feasibility analysis for homebuilders, developers, private equity groups and lenders. Upon leaving The Concord Group, Mr. Rawson became a Vice President at a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm where he worked on teams that transacted in excess of $500 million in projects over a five-year period. Mr. Rawson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Claremont Mckenna College in Government, Economics and History where he graduated with honors. While at Claremont McKenna College, Mr. Rawson was a 4-year letterman on the men’s varsity basketball team. Mr. Rawson also earned and an MBA from the University of California Irvine Merage School of Business with a concentration in real estate finance where he has been a guest lecturer and is on the Board for the UCI Center for Real Estate. Mr. Rawson is an avid sports enthusiast and runner and has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro. Mr. Rawson is a resident of Long Beach, CA with his wife and three children where he is very civically engaged.
