Robert is the Founder & CEO of the entire Canvas family of companies. He oversees all investment and operational decisions while directing the firm’s strategy and launching multiple business lines within the multifamily space.

Morgenstern has spent over a dozen years as a real estate entrepreneur acquiring, operating and managing several thousand units and billions in NYC multifamily real estate with institutional LP investors.

Robert has developed his core multifamily investment platform as well as several businesses that allow Canvas to continue to grow into multifamily adjacent business lines including the short-term furnished rental business, a lending operation and a data analytics business intelligence SaaS platform.
