Rick Gropper, Founding Principal of Camber Property Group, has nearly 20 years of experience in the new construction and preservation of affordable housing across the five boroughs of New York City and beyond. Throughout his career to date, he has been directly responsible for development transactions exceeding $4 billion of total cost and 20,000 units in aggregate.

At Camber, Rick focuses on sourcing and structuring transactions using his deep relationships with investor, lender, community and government partners. Prior to co-founding Camber, Rick worked his way up the development ranks, gaining experience in all aspects of the development process. He served as Development Director at L+M Development Partners, one of the largest and most prolific developers of multifamily housing in NYC.

He has a B.A. in Sociology from Connecticut College and a M.S. in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. Rick serves on the boards of Habitat for Humanity NYC, NYSAFAH, the Citizens Housing and Planning Council, the Furman Center for Real Estate and Urban Policy, Building Skills NY and the Madison Square Park Conservancy. In 2021, Rick was named to the prestigious Crain’s New York 40 Under 40, which recognizes young professionals leaving their mark on the NYC business community.
