Razi Uddin is a seasoned financial executive with over 25 years of experience in corporate finance and investment management. He currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director of Clear Investment Group (CIG). In this role, Razi has been instrumental in launching the firm’s first national fund, Clear Opportunities Fund I, which provides investors with unique opportunities in real estate, offering an asymmetric return profile.
Before joining Clear Investment Group, Razi was the Chief Financial Officer at Vestian Global, a corporate real estate services firm. During his tenure at Vestian, he played a crucial role in expanding the company’s operational footprint in both the United States and Asia. Additionally, for close to a decade, Razi served as the Director of Investment for SF Holdings, a private family office with investments in real assets, structured credit, and ownership in operating businesses (Vestian Global).
Prior to these roles, Razi spent several years as a Senior Research Analyst at a boutique Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), LCM, where he provided coverage for various public securities and underwrote investments across a spectrum that included hedge funds, private equity, direct real estate transactions, and pooled investment vehicles. In this capacity, he provided strategic wealth planning to 40 families represented by the firm.
Razi began his career in consulting at Arthur Andersen LLP and Deloitte, where he developed a strong foundation in corporate finance. His comprehensive background includes expertise in financial modeling, real asset management, corporate finance, lending, deal structuring, and tax. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy and is a Certified Public Accountant (Illinois). Additionally, Razi holds a post-baccalaureate degree in Physics and Chemistry from Loyola University.
Razi’s extensive experience across various sectors and his expertise in financial management have established him as a seasoned executive in the real estate investment industry. His leadership and unwavering commitment to an “LP first” mentality and the stewardship of capital have significantly contributed to the consistent growth and innovation throughout his career – core competencies he brings to CIG, as the firm looks to the future with the launch of Clear Opportunities Fund II and Clear Credit Opportunities Fund I.
