With over 20 years of commercial real estate experience, Nick is the Chief Development Officer at PLK Communities. In this role, his team takes developments from initial acquisition to construction completion, always focusing on creating a connection with the residents.

Since joining PLK, Nick has been involved in developing over 1,300 apartment homes. He believes that exceptional development emphasizes not only the physical structures but also the intangibles that make a place feel like home.

Before joining PLK in 2017, Nick honed his skills as a commercial real estate banker in Chicago and Cincinnati, where he was actively involved in financing almost $3bln in commercial real estate transactions. A proud Ohio State University graduate, Nick finds true success in the positive impact of PLK’s developments on communities.

Nick’s team has been honored with many awards, including the 2023 NAIOP Developer of the Year. Additionally, Factory 52, a PLK development, was recently named a New Construction Community of the Year finalist in the 2024 Excellence Awards by the National Apartment Association (NAA).

Outside of work, Nick enjoys traveling with his wife, Jessica, and their two children, Eli and Zoe. You can often find him attending his kids’ events or seeking a quiet fishing spot when he’s not at the office.
