Dr. Michael S. Miller is an Associate Professor of Economics and Associate Dean for Quality and Compliance at DePaul University, where he has been teaching since completing his Ph.D. in 1980 at the University of Pittsburgh. His expertise is in applied macroeconomics and business conditions analysis. In addition to teaching macroeconomics and pursing research on the economy of Bahrain, Dr. Miller has spent 16 years in administration, serving as department chairman and associate dean. He has twice been the recipient of the university’s Excellence in Teaching Award. Dr. Miller has taught overseas as well, including time in Hong Kong, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Bahrain. He is a regular guest on Chicago radio and television, providing insights on macroeconomic conditions, fiscal policy and the Federal Reserve’s monetary decisions.
