President and Founder of Groundstone Homes, Matthew Montgomery brings with him over 20 years of real estate, contracting and custom homebuilding experience. He is a graduate of the M.E. Rinker School of Construction Management at the University of Florida College of Design, Construction and Planning. He is a licensed general contractor and a certified Green Professional and LEED AP. Montgomery has well over 1,500 homes in his portfolio from his decades with top builders including Sterling Homes, which he help found in 1996, Centex Homes, and currently Groundstone Homes. He was instrumental in many of the most popular communities in South Florida such as San Michelle, Mizner’s Preserve, Talavera, Orchid Estates, Wellington Shores, Cedar Creek Ranch and Cypress Lakes, and he is passionate about socially responsible building and development. His work has received numerous awards and has been highlighted in a number of leading publications including Architectural Digest and Professional Builder Magazine. His communities focus on socially responsible development and revitalizing neglected areas into thriving boutique neighborhoods.
