Lisa Chairs the Nitze-Stagen Board of Directors and, as its Principal, Lisa ensures that Nitze-Stagen provides value to the communities where it has projects and to its project investors. Nitze-Stagen is a real estate investment, development and management company, active in Seattle for 50 years. It is now primarily focusing on multifamily projects bringing attainable housing to Seattle’s Opportunity Zones. Lisa has 35 years of experience leading statewide, national and global economic development, public/private partnership and social impact organizations and initiatives. Having led stabilization and restoration efforts for the abandoned buildings of Ellis Island by creating Save Ellis Island!, social impact strategy planning for a critical project of the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, global impact measurement and evaluation initiatives at the Inter-American Development Bank and Sigma-Aldrich Corp., Lisa also led the World Trade Center Baltimore, Prosperity New Jersey, the North American Social Enterprise Alliance, and traveled globally for the U.S. Department of State as a Speaker Specialist on Social Entrepreneurship.

Previous to Nitze-Stagen, Lisa was CEO of Seattle Social Venture Partners. SVP included nearly 600 philanthropists who, together, invested in social impact in the Puget Sound region. Lisa serves on the Boards of the Downtown Seattle Association, Seattle Metropolitan Improvement District, Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority, Seattle Police Foundation, Chinatown International District Public Safety Council and WELD Seattle. Additionally, Lisa Chairs Build4Community, a nonprofit that operates in Seattle’s Opportunity Zones to build public/private coalitions working towards thriving communities. Lisa has an MBA from Stanford University and a BA from Harvard University.
