Larry Scott oversees the Fairfield’s ground up multifamily development activities throughout southern California and serves as the Development Partner for the region. Since joining Fairfield in early 2011, Larry has completed over 3,000 luxury apartments in 11 communities, with an additional 1,700 units under development. Larry has over 34 years in the multi-family residential industry, including extensive development, acquisition, and asset management experience of rental and for-sale communities. Prior to joining Fairfield in 2011, he was Managing Director of Urban Housing Group (a subsidiary of the Marcus & Millichap Company) and Senior Vice President of AvalonBay Communities Inc., where he established and led the company’s residential development efforts throughout southern California. Additionally, Larry held executive roles for Archstone Communities Trust, and Lincoln Property Company, where he was involved in developing and acquiring over 7,000 multifamily units. Larry received his BA in accounting from California State University, Fullerton. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and a licensed California real estate broker. His professional affiliations include the National Multi-Housing Council and Urban Land Institute.
