Karen oversees Design and Branding for Kushner. She began her career in design overseeing the business development and marketing for architecture firms in New York City, including the boutique STUDIO V Architecture (Empire Stores, Macy’s Herald Square), and SHoP Architects (Barclay’s Center, South Street Seaport). She independently co-founded a pro bono civic advocacy effort called the Tanks at Bushwick Inlet Park, a design proposal aimed at preserving historic industrial structures on the Brooklyn waterfront, which she continues to oversee. Karen joined Kushner in 2015 where she focuses on the design development and positioning of new acquisitions and ground-up projects, as well as the enhancement of existing assets through design, culture, partnerships, and programming. Karen graduated a Presidential Honors Scholar and Phi Beta Kappa from NYU in 2013, with a degree in Urban Design and Architecture/Business. She is also the lead singer of Local Law (locallawmusic.com).
