Mr. Bautista serves as the President of the Rutherford Value Fund, Rutherford Delaware Statutory Trust (DST), Rutherford REIF, and Rutherford Separate Account (RSA). Having spent the past 20 years investing in multi-family properties in Santa Clara & San Mateo Counties his skill set is ideally suited to oversee all facets of the investment process for the Value Fund, DST, REIF and Separate Account. During this time, Mr. Bautista has acquired 46 properties, of which 30 properties were taken through the full investment cycle and sold. These investments were value-add apartments where Mr. Bautista acquired the asset, sourced the financing, planned and executed the repositioning of the property and completed the disposition. In addition to investing in multi-family properties. Mr. Bautista served as a real estate broker for 25 years specializing in multi-family sales throughout the Bay Area. His stellar career included time at Marcus & Millichap, Cushman & Wakefield, and Newmark. During his brokerage career, he sold over 650 apartment buildings totaling over 5,500 units and nearly $3 Billion in sales. Mr. Bautista graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Economics.
