John Morgan
Director – Acquisitions
Hudson Companies
As Hudson’s Acquisitions Director, John manages business development opportunities from sourcing to underwriting and execution. Given Hudson’s breadth of work, John assesses both market-rate and affordable acquisitions opportunities within New York City and the surrounding suburbs. His role includes negotiating private site acquisitions, forming joint venture partnerships, and responding to large-scale RFPs. In addition, John helps to direct Hudson’s existing separate accounts that the firm manages on behalf of a large public pension system.
Prior to joining Hudson, John worked as a consultant for HR&A Advisors, where he both assisted private and public-sector clients in navigating complex real estate developments and public-private partnerships. At HR&A, John developed a deep understanding of transaction management, transit-oriented development, and housing policy that translates to his current role at Hudson. John received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Davidson College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley.
