Jennifer Baus joined The NRP Group in 2005 as a Project Manager for affordable housing development and after steady growth in scope and responsibility over fifteen years, was promoted in May of 2020 to Senior Vice President Design & Entitlements where she will direct all activities related to horizontal and vertical design and entitlements at The NRP Group as well as oversee all development project management.
In her 15-year tenure at The NRP Group. Baus has established a reputation for technical competence, strong project management skills and for building high performance teams energized by active leadership and open channels of communication. In 2017, Baus received NRP’s Alan F. Scott Developer’s Award for excellence during its inaugural year.
Baus has been a leader in expanding diversity and inclusion off orts at NRP, having founded the Women’s Inclusion Network (WIN) in 2018 with the goal of hiring. developing and advancing female talent at The NRP Group. Through innovative educational panels, event sponsorships and creative communications, the WIN group has been the leading force of cultural change and the advancement of diversity and inclusion at NRP.
In addition to her work at NRP, Baus is actively involved in several organizations within the Cleveland community. In 2013, she completed the YWCA’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (Momentum) program served on YWCA’s Advisory Council and now serves on their independence Place board. Additionally, she is leading the design and construction of an outdoor classroom for their Early Learning Center She has also helped to lead fundraising efforts for the YWCA, American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and Muscular Dystrophy Association. Baus has also served for many years on the Cornell Alumni Admissions Network advisory Committee and has presented about how work to several professional organizations including CREW, Urban Land Institute, NAHB, OHFA and Key Bank.
Baus worked in the environmental engineering field in New York and Ohio from 1997 to 2005. During that time, she became a professional engineer in the state of Ohio and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional. The American Academy of Environmental Engineers admitted her as an Associate, and she graduated with a 4.0 from Case Western Reserve University through their Master of Engineering program. In 2007, she earned a certificate in Real Estate Development and Finance from Cleveland State University where she was a class marketing competition finalist for two years in a row. She has also completed certifications in project management. HAZWOPER and confined space training. Baus holds a Bachelor of Science in civil and environmental engineering from Cornell University.
