Ms. Protas has over 25 years of real estate experience with a focus on urban development in high- barrier-to-entry markets. She has been involved with the development and/or operation of over twenty million square feet of high-rise residential, retail and office space, valued at over $4 billion.

As SVP – Multifamily for Conor Commercial Real Estate, Ms. Protas’ is currently charged with growing and overseeing Conor’s national multifamily development platform. Immediately prior, Ms. Protas led development in the Midwest for RPT Realty and was responsible for identifying and executing mixed-use development, densification and repositioning opportunities within the company’s retail portfolio, preceded by four years overseeing real estate development activities for a New York-based investment company and eight years developing infill projects in Chicago.

Ms. Protas holds a Master of Business Administration degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas.  Ms. Protas is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, where she is past-Chair of the national Urban Revitalization Council.
