As Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer for Related California, Mr. Canori leads Related California’s market rate, luxury and mixed-income residential development throughout California. He is currently overseeing a $5 billion pipeline of 6,000 multifamily units and 800,000 square feet of commercial space located in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Orange County. His responsibilities encompass all aspects of the development and design process, including financial analysis, acquisition, planning, entitlements, financing (both public and private sources), debt, equity and joint venture agreements, budgeting and scheduling, construction, and marketing.

Since joining Related in 2001, Mr. Canori has been directly responsible for the growth of the Related California pipeline, including the development of 4,000 multifamily units with development costs in excess of $3 billion, and served as the Project Executive for Ocean Avenue South in Santa Monica, a 1,000,000 square foot mixed-income development of luxury condominiums, affordable apartments and retail, a key component to the revitalization of the City’s Civic Center and the 2016 Urban Land Institute Global Award for Excellence Winner.

Mr. Canori is a graduate of the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. He serves on the Executive Committee for the Lusk Center for Real Estate at the University of Southern California and the Policy Advisory Board for the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics at the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute.
