Over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, holding senior level positions at some of the leading banks/investment banks and commercial brokerage shops in the country, focused primarily on the debt capital markets space. Have structured and closed over $10.0 billion in transactions. Began working at CIT Bank in October, 2018 as a managing director. Main role is to cultivate relationships with higher quality sponsors with a primary focus on transactions located east of the Mississippi River. Prior to CIT, I had a short tenure at Centennial Bank, another lender in the bridge/new construction space, and in February, 2011, I launched the Capital Services Division at Massey Knakal, which, at the time, was the leading Investment Sales firm in NYC. My division focused on the placement of debt and equity products primarily in the New York metro area. We placed approximately $1.0 billion of debt each year. The platform consisted of a team of twelve brokers/ associates, covering the New York metro area. On January 1, 2015, Cushman & Wakefield acquired Massey Knakal Realty Services. Previous to my stint at Massey Knakal, in September of 2004, I helped set up the New York office of Anglo Irish Bank, an active Irish commercial real estate lender in the US market. I originated over $4.0 billion of debt products, primarily senior secured loans, including syndicated loans, mezzanine positions, and A/B note structures. Prior to Anglo Irish Bank, I served as chief credit officer at Eurohypo Bank, at the time one of the largest origination/syndication platforms in North America.
Specialties: Successfully starting up a mortgage brokerage (Massey Knakal) and lending operation (Anglo Irish Bank) in a very competitive environment (NYC). Relationships with all major NYC real estate owners and developers. Extensive workout, restructuring, and asset management experience resulting from participation in the last three real estate cycles.
