David Scharfenberg

Mr. Scharfenberg joined Waterton in 2011 and serves as senior vice president, operations. In this role, he oversees multifamily operations for all properties in the Eastern United States. Prior to this role, Mr. Scharfenberg served as the general manager of Presidential Towers, the firm’s largest apartment community, located in Chicago, IL.

Prior to joining Waterton, Mr. Scharfenberg was a regional director for Holiday Retirement where he managed the operations and sales for senior living communities throughout the state of Washington. He also spent nine years with Oakwood Worldwide where he had oversight of corporate housing communities in major U.S. markets. Mr. Scharfenberg’s career started with the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, Texas where he served in various managerial roles.

Mr. Scharfenberg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in hotel administration from University of Nevada – Las Vegas. He is a licensed broker in New York State.
