David C. Nelson is the regional manager of Marcus & Millichap’s Oakland office.

Mr. Nelson joined Marcus & Millichap in 2006 as an agent in the San Francisco office. He specialized in multifamily investment sales and completed approximately $50 million in investment property sales during his tenure as an agent. Mr. Nelson left the firm in 2010 to pursue other interests in real estate. He rejoined the firm as the sales manager of the San Francisco office in August 2016 and was promoted to regional manager in January 2018.

Prior to returning to Marcus & Millichap, Mr. Nelson served as Vice President of Investments for a Bay Area based commercial brokerage. In his six years there, he consistently ranked among the top five percent of the company’s commercial agents in San Francisco.

Mr. Nelson graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in art history and participated in Stanford University’s Community Engaged Learning Program in computer science.
