Dan Byrnes is the Chief Executive Officer for Security Properties. He is a member of the Investment Committee and the Board of Managers. Mr. Byrnes has 19 years of experience in commercial real estate. He is responsible for the development of both long- and short-term investment plans for each business unit and for the company as a whole. Mr. Byrnes has completed over 150 transactions totaling $6 billion since joining Security Properties in 2012. In addition, he oversees day-to-day management of Security Properties’ multifamily funds.

Prior to joining Security Properties, he served as a Director of Investment Sales in HFF’s New York City office, where he completed over $4 billion of real estate transactions, spanning all major US markets and asset types. Mr. Byrnes holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics-Operations Research from Columbia University and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley.
