Chuck Leitner joined CBRE Global Investors in November 2019 as Global Chief Executive Officer. In this role, he is responsible for the overall global management and long-term strategy of the firm, which manages more than $100 billion on behalf of its clients and has operations and assets in the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific. Mr. Leitner also serves as the chair of the firm’s Global Executive Committee and as a member of the Global Investment Committee.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the industry, Mr. Leitner has broad global experience in real assets, including private and listed, real estate and infrastructure, and equity and debt investment solutions. Prior to joining CBRE Global Investors, Mr. Leitner served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Berkshire Residential Investments, an investment management and operating company specializing in U.S. residential property. Part of his responsibilities included serving on a range of real estate operating company boards including LCB Senior Living, Clearwater Senior Living and Leggat McCall Partners. Prior to Berkshire, he served as Global CEO of RREEF/Deutsche Asset Management, a global alternative asset management enterprise with $80 billion of assets under management.

Mr. Leitner is a Trustee of the Urban Land Institute, where he formerly served as Chairman of the Greenprint Center for Building Performance, demonstrating his commitment to ESG initiatives. He also is a Past Board member and Treasurer of PREA and served on the boards of DEXUS, a listed office and industrial property trust in Australia; Deutsche Bank Real Estate Investment GmbH in Germany; and Strategic Value Partners, a U.S.-based global hedge fund.

Mr. Leitner is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he currently serves as a Trustee and member of the Board and Executive Committee of Penn Medicine.
