Mr. Kober directs all operations over a $3.6 Billion portfolio of apartment communities throughout the western United States including managing the firm’s asset management, construction, marketing and design groups. He also directs the company’s branded Ecologic sustainability program delivering cost effective and environmentally friendly features to resident communities. Prior to Pacific Urban, Mr. Kober was the founder and CEO of the Castle Group, a Bay Area developer of multi-family housing. He also held positions with Trammell Crow Residential and Morgan Stanley. He graduated from Stanford University and holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Mr. Kober is a member of ULI, NMHC and is a board member of the California Apartment Association and the Housing Industry Foundation.

Since our 1998 inception we have acquired over 25,000 apartment homes on behalf of our own account and those of our partners, including JP Morgan, Cigna, Hunt, The Hartford, AIG, AEW, GE, BlackRock, Capmark, Cityview and the California Public Employees’ Retirement System. Since inception the firm has grown to five offices, 50 professionals and has acquired over $5 billion of apartment communities.
