Brian joined Slate in 2020 and serves as Slate Property Group’s Chief Investment Officer. Brian oversees all aspects of the firm’s investment process, including management of the acquisition and asset management teams. Brian is also responsible for structuring business line and project-level capitalizations and contributes to the strategic development and execution of company business strategy.
Prior to joining Slate, Brian was a Managing Director of Forum Absolute Capital Partners (“FACP”), a $300 million real estate private equity fund focused on development in New York City, where he served as the firm’s chief executive and managed all aspects of its projects. Before FACP, Brian was a Vice President in the Carlyle Group’s U.S. Real Estate Funds and an investment banking analyst at Bank of America.
Brian graduated from Duke University, where he was named a Benjamin N. Duke Scholar, with a Bachelor of Science degree in both Economics and Political Science.
