Rose Associates

J. Brian Peters is the Chief Operating Officer of Rose Associates, Inc. He has overall responsibility for the firm’s service platform, which provides property management, marketing, leasing, revenue management and other ancillary services for multifamily and mixed-use properties. Mr. Peters also oversees Rose’s corporate services, including human resources and information technology.

Brian joined Rose Associates in 1995. During his tenure he has been instrumental in the expansion of Rose Associates’ management activities. He secured and maintained relationships with the institutional investors, asset managers and private developers who comprise the firm’s third-party clients. Today, Brian’s team oversees a portfolio of some 14,000 units in more than 60 properties, among them many of NYC’s most sought after residential rental buildings.

From 2004-2007, Brian oversaw the repositioning of Peter Cooper Village and Stuyvesant Town for MetLife, the developer and owner of these iconic Manhattan properties, which comprise more than 11,000 units in 110 buildings on a 70-acre campus. Beginning in early 2010, he also managed Rose’s two-year engagement to stabilize the property for special servicer CWCapital Asset Management following the default of the CMBS borrower.

Prior to joining Rose, Brian was a group executive and co-director of management at Douglas Elliman, NYC’s leading residential brokerage and management company. Earlier in his career, Brian was involved in the successful conversion of several rental properties (most notably the 850 unit London Terrace Towers) to cooperative ownership.
