As a commercial real estate leader and debt and equity capital provider, I bring over 15 years of industry experience spanning across a diversity of assets and investment strategies including development, acquisitions, finance, affordable LIHTC, tax-exempt bond financing and Social Impact Investing. At Northwestern Mutual, I partner with institutional commercial real estate owner operators, high net-worth family offices, and prolific real estate investors to solve their commercial real estate capital and financing needs.

By way of background, I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from UC San Diego, where I also competed as a college athlete scholar, achieving an All-American title as a Sprinter for the Women’s Track & Field team. Following undergrad, I began my career in real estate, building affordable multifamily housing at Community HousingWorks (“CHW”), a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit developer, owner, and operator. While at CHW, I teamed with Senior Project Managers to strategically acquire, finance, manage and develop new multifamily apartments serving working-class families throughout San Diego County. While experiencing the project life cycle of multifamily development, I developed a passion for the real estate industry and went on to further my education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, specializing in Real Estate Finance and Urban Land Economics.

Following completion of my MBA, I joined Northwestern Mutual’s Real Estate Investment Department as an underwriter, advancing through various market and client facing roles, perfecting the real estate selection and investment mindset from NM’s perspective. Currently, I am based in Newport Beach California, and I am responsible for identifying, underwriting and structuring direct real estate investments across all property types, including apartments (multifamily & active adult senior), industrial/warehouse, office, retail, self-storage facilities and manufactured housing within the Southern California and Las Vegas markets. With over $10 billion of direct transactional experience and a successful track record in collaborative leadership, analytics and business development, I specialize in providing capital solutions across various financing structures including fixed and floating rate mortgage loans, construction-to-perm loans, acquisitions, dispositions, and joint-venture developments.
