Alvaro oversees all aspects of Asset Management in addition to interior design, landscape design, architectural graphics, market analysis, branding, and marketing. Alvaro joined SummerHill in 2016. He works closely with Doug McDonald through the full lifecycle of SummerHill’s projects from land acquisitions to entitlements and all the way through to asset disposition.

Alvaro has over 15-years of experience in operations and development in the multifamily industry. Within SummerHill, he has worked on over 4,500 units across 22 developments in Southern California, Northern California, Washington, and Oregon.

Prior to joining SummerHill Alvaro was in senior roles for Alliance Residential on key portfolios in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest.

Alvaro received a B.S. in Environmental Economics and Policy UC Berkeley where he graduated summa cum laude. He is active in NMHC, ULI, HIF, and other charitable organizations. Alvaro enjoys poker, hiking, reading, and spending time with his family.
