This notice describes how GreenPearl handles personal information when you use the GreenPearl Events Platform at greenpearl.com.
Last updated: June 19, 2026
Overview
GreenPearl (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the GreenPearl Events Platform (the “Platform”). This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, what cookies and similar technologies we use, and the choices available to you.
This notice is intended to meet transparency requirements under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), among others. It is not legal advice.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Platform, we may collect:
- Account and profile information — name, email address, organization, job title, biography, photo, contact preferences, and related profile fields you provide.
- Event and registration information — events you register for, attendance role, answers on registration forms, and payment-related metadata when you pay for an event.
- Communications — messages you send through Platform messaging features and emails we send you (for example sign-in links, registration confirmations, and event updates).
- Technical information — IP address, browser type, device information, and server logs generated when you access the Platform. Our hosting provider may also process similar technical data.
- Administrative records — for authorized staff, audit and sign-in activity logs used to operate and secure the Platform.
We collect most of this information directly from you. Some information (for example payment confirmation from Stripe) is provided by service providers acting on our behalf.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, and secure the Platform
- Authenticate you and maintain your session
- Process event registrations and payments
- Enable networking, messaging, and event participation features
- Send transactional and service-related communications
- Respond to support requests and enforce our policies
- Improve reliability, troubleshoot issues, and protect against abuse
Where GDPR applies, our legal bases typically include contract (providing the services you request), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, and improving the Platform), and consent where we ask for it explicitly (for example optional marketing preferences where offered).
Service providers and third parties
We use trusted providers to operate the Platform. They process data only as needed to provide their services:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage
- Vercel — application hosting and delivery
- Stripe — payment processing when you pay for registration (Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies for fraud prevention during checkout)
- Email delivery providers — transactional email (for example sign-in links and registration confirmations)
- OpenStreetMap / map tile providers — venue maps on event pages
- Legacy registration embeds — some events may still use a third-party registration iframe (for example Corsizio). That provider's own privacy practices apply within the embed.
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly defined under CPRA.
How long we keep information
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type — for example, account data is kept while your account is active; some administrative logs may be kept for a defined period for security and audit purposes.
You may request deletion of your account or certain data subject to applicable law and our legitimate need to retain records (for example completed registration or payment records).
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
California residents (CPRA) — You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion or correction, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, a “Do Not Sell or Share” control is not required for that purpose today.
EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions (GDPR) — You may also have the right to data portability, to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise your rights, contact us at events@greenpearl.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data we process, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and provider security features. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Platform is intended for professionals attending business events and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
International transfers
We are based in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards where required by law for international transfers.
Changes to this notice
We may update this page from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be communicated through the Platform or by email where appropriate.
