Benjie founded Arx Urban in 2014 and has completed 20 multifamily and mixed-use projects, delivering nearly 1,000 housing units and representing over $400 million in total project value.

As Principal, Benjie leads the firm’s overall strategy, overseeing acquisitions, capital markets, and investor relations. Arx Urban is known for its socially conscious, forward-thinking, and transparent approach, driving innovation in housing finance, design typology, and community engagement across the Greater Boston market.

He has also served on the City of Boston’s Inclusionary Development Policy Technical Advisory Group and was appointed to the Mayor’s SPARK Boston Council (formerly ONEin3), where he represented Bay Village and advised the City’s Innovation Housing Lab on technology and financing strategies. In 2020, Benjie received a SPARK Impact Award for leveraging entrepreneurship to address housing instability and advance solutions to the housing crisis.

Benjie is a frequent speaker on the intersection of housing, finance, affordability, and technology, with appearances at the Tuck School of Business, Brandeis, Harvard, and numerous industry conferences. Arx Urban was the first sponsor in the Northeast to raise capital online under Regulation 506(c), completing transactions across five different crowdfunding platforms.

Before founding Arx Urban, Benjie was Vice President of Investments at Atlas Real Estate Partners and an Associate at JP Morgan Global Real Assets. He managed a $1.5 billion national portfolio of mixed-use real estate and led the investment strategy for more than 30 assets, including leasing, development, financing, and disposition.

Benjie holds a BA from Tufts University, summa cum laude, and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where he was a Tuck Scholar and received the Julia Stell Award for Leadership. He lives in Newton with his wife, Anna, and their daughters, Sophie and Janey.
