Maxwell Jacobson is the Vice President of Development at S.R. Jacobson Development. He oversaw daily construction and lease-up operations for the firm’s latest Illinois project, Orland Ridge — a 296-unit single-family rental (SFR) community featuring three-story townhomes and ranch villas in Orland Park. Max continues to play an active role in the project’s ongoing operations, coordinating with the property management team and visiting the site regularly, following the project’s stabilization.

In addition to project management, Max is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new land acquisition opportunities across Illinois and the Midwest, with strategic plans to expand the company’s presence into new markets.

Prior to Orland Ridge, Max was part of SRJ’s development team for Montgomery Place Apartments (468 units) and Village Place Apartments in Romeoville (216 units), both in partnership with Edward Rose & Sons.

He also led the marketing, sales, and negotiation efforts beginning in 2019 for a large-scale distressed asset program originally launched in 2009, when S.R. Jacobson partnered with a hedge fund to acquire 3,000 bank-foreclosed lots across 28 subdivisions. The portfolio included everything from paper lots to finished home sites, and Max successfully oversaw the disposition of more than 600 remaining lots to regional and national homebuilders.
