Mark J. Cantrell, a founding partner and shareholder in the firm of Cantrell McCulloch, Inc., was born in McKinney, Texas in 1960. In January of 1984, Mark’s real estate career began when he joined Marcus & Millichap, the fourth largest real estate brokerage company in the nation. From 1989 through 1996, he was recognized for outstanding sales performance, with special recognition in 1990 as the Company’s #3 Earner out of approximately 400 total nationwide agents. From 1990 through 1996, he was the top overall producer in earnings and sales volume in the company’s three Texas offices. In February 1997, Mark, along with his brother Tim, founded The Cantrell Company (TCC), specializing in multifamily brokerage.
In January 2001, Mark Cantrell, Tim Cantrell, and Bobby McCulloch founded Cantrell McCulloch, Inc. (CMI). Mark is involved with Bobby in the day-to-day operations of CMI and is in charge of business development. Additionally, due to his 36 years in the real estate brokerage/ownership business, Mark is often consulted on values and discussions on how to best approach the appraisal district on protests. Under Mark and partner Bobby McCulloch’s direction, CMI has grown into the one of the largest Texas property tax consulting firms representing over $27 billion in overall property value. This includes 1,475+ multifamily properties consisting of 230,000+/- units valued in excess of $20 billion. CMI currently works in 35 states.
Mark is a partner in several DFW apartment and commercial properties and a founder of Texas Republic Bank.
