Amy McCook represents Equinox Development in the pursuit of acquisition and development opportunities. As Senior Vice President, Amy is responsible for analyzing new opportunities as well as successfully executing on development deals. She has been an integral part of the growth of the company and has overseen dozens of ground up developments of varying complexity and scale. Amy is detail-oriented and hands-on from property acquisition to grand opening while she coordinates a broad range of development activities including site due diligence, research, project management, permitting and tenant development services. Amy excels at cultivating relationships with and garnering the respect of staff at various municipalities in the area and with tenants who do multiple deals with Equinox. All of this contributes to mutually beneficial relationships which result in new growth that benefits the Central Florida community.

Prior to joining Equinox, Amy was a member of Walt Disney Imagineering’s Real Estate Development Team. There she was a part of developing and implementing real estate strategy for land holdings at Walt Disney World. Amy traveled the country benchmarking best-in-class retail and mixed-use developments, interacting with world-renown architects and identifying unique retail concepts all for the conceptual development of a mixed-use project totaling one million square feet. It was while working at Disney that she established a creative foundation, learned the art of placemaking and refined the process of curating retail.

Amy has been recognized as a “Woman to Watch” by the Orlando Business Journal and as a Visionary of Central Florida by a joint committee of Orlando’s ULI, CREW and ICSC.

She is active in the Central Florida community having spent countless hours volunteering and mentoring in addition to having served on numerous boards and committees including: UCF Real Estate Advisory Council, CREW Orlando, Junior League of Greater Orlando, and ICSC Next Gen.

Amy is able to couple her diverse practical experience and high-quality formal education to always deliver above expectations. She has a Masters of Science in Real Estate from New York University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami. Amy is proud to call Altamonte Springs home, where she resides with her husband and two young children.
