Peter Collins is Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Forge Capital Partners, LLC (“Forge”), a diversified real estate investment and management company doing business in the southeast United States.  Mr. Collins directs all private equity activities for Forge and is the CEO of Forge’s real estate private equity fund business. Over the last 23 years, Mr. Collins has overseen more than $1.5 billion of real estate and corporate transactions including over ten million square feet of commercial and residential real estate development, acquisitions, and dispositions.

Mr. Collins is a past Trustee of the Florida State University (“FSU”) Foundation and former Chair of the FSU Endowment.  He is a past member of the Executive Committee of the FSU College of Business Board of Governors. Peter is a current member and past Chair of the Investment Advisory Council overseeing the $220 billion State of Florida Pension Fund. In 2019, Peter was elected to the Board of the Florida Council of 100 and became a member of the Executive Committee of the Council in 2022. In 2020, Mr. Collins was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis and confirmed by the Florida Senate to the Florida State University Board of Trustees.

In 2021, Mr. Collins was elected Chairman of the FSU Board of Trustees. In 2022, Mr. Collins was inducted in the Florida State University College of Business Alumni Hall of Fame. An Eagle Scout, Mr. Collins has served as the Area 4 (State of Florida) President and as a member of the Southern Region Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of America (“BSA”).  Peter is the immediate Past President of the Greater Tampa Bay Area BSA Council. Peter is a past member of the BSA National Foundation Board of Directors and the former chairman of the BSA National Foundation’s Investment Committee.  Additionally, Peter is the recipient of the BSA’s prestigious Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope and National Outstanding Eagle Scout awards.

Mr. Collins earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance as well as his MBA from Florida State University.  Peter and his wife, Jennifer, live in Tampa, Florida and have four adult children.  Mr. Collins is an avid golfer, hunter, and pilot.
