Shari S. Laskowitz is a partner in the Firm’s Landlord & Tenant Practice. A seasoned litigator and advocate for her clients, Shari works closely with commercial and residential landlords on complex landlord-tenant disputes that arise during the development and management process.
With over 20 years of experience, Shari represents landlords and owners of office, retail, and restaurant properties, as well as multi-family residential properties and co-op and condo associations and owners. She counsels landlords on matters including breach of contract, real estate taxes, adjacent properties, community opposition, brokerage agreements, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Shari handles a broad array of real estate related disputes, including landlord/tenant and co-op/condo conflicts as well as business and partnership disputes. On behalf of co-op boards, she counsels on a variety of matters, including shareholder termination of proprietary leases due to shareholder nuisance.
She has expansive knowledge navigating the real estate dispute process with complex motion practice and trials in New York State courts. Additionally, Shari regularly represents clients in negotiation and arbitration before the American Arbitration Association and JAMS.
