Who we are:

Ryan Slack, CEO

Ryan is the former CEO of PropertyShark where he completed 4 years building the company from zero to 60 employees and millions in revenue. At PropertyShark.com, Ryan developed 8 profitable online subscription services, increased users from 4000 to over 300,000, and increased the geographic footprint from 1 million properties in one city to over 30 million properties in over 15 major cities. Ryan has been profiled in the New York Times and was named one of New York Magazine’s 200 Most Influential New Yorkers as well as one of Crain’s 40-under-40 Rising Stars. Ryan has an MBA from Stanford Business School and a BS in Civil Engineering from UC Davis.

Mark Schacknies, VP Product Development, Co-Founder

Mark earned his MBA in Real Estate and Urban Development at George Washington University where he was the Oliver T. Carr Fellow – a biannual fellowship awarded to one MBA student who demonstrates promise in urban real estate. After completing this program he went on to become a Principal at Walnut Street Development where he originated and developed over $300 MM of mixed use projects in the DC Metro area. The concept of MyDealBook was born from Mark’s experiences as a developer, while collaborating with project teams. Prior to real estate, Mark focused on e-finance technology at Dealogic (an investment banking deal collaboration platform), FolioFN (a fractional share brokerage trading platform) and MicroStrategy (data-mining analytic software used by Fortune 500 companies to turn data into intelligence). Mark's experience in both real estate and technology paved the way to develop the concept of MyDealBook as a professional tool to turn the challenges of the commercial real estate sector into opportunities.

Nima Negahban, CTO, Co-Founder

Nima has developed enterprise-scale platforms & leading technologies currently being used in a wide spectrum of market sectors ranging from bio-technology to VoIP Telecommunications. Beyond a cutting-edge technical expertise Nima has a proven track record of leveraging his technical prowess to create compelling business strategies. Lead Web Architect - DigitalSports, Director of Web Media - The Real Deal Magazine, Chief Architect - Equipoise Imaging, Senior Architect - Logic Tree, Senior Technology Strategy Advisor - Booz Allen Hamilton. Nima holds a BS in computer science from the University of Maryland.
